Workshops

Our workshops are designed to aid students in development of skills and/or subject knowledge outlined in the Curriculum for Excellence and the national curriculum. As our focus is history, the aims identified for student development in KS2 and 3 History and and P5-7 and S1-3 Social Studies are covered. Also, some of the workshops include knowledge acquisition and/or the opportunity to develop skills pertaining to other subjects, such as Geography, Physics, Biology, Art, English and Computing. Further, our workshops are designed to enable students to develop their self-knowledge, self-esteem and self-confidence, distinguish right from wrong, and to increase tolerance and harmony between different cultural traditions by enabling acquisition of appreciation and respect for all cultures.

KS2/P5-7 workshops are designed to be offered as either half day or full day events. They are each designed with some structured teaching alongside multiple activities. Within the description of the workshops below you will find a summary of Curriculum for Excellence skills and subjects students will engage with in relation to each workshop. KS3/ S1-3 workshops are designed as one-hour sessions that can be offered multiple times a day to classes within one secondary school. In each case, we will check with you as to what students have already studied relating to the topics to be taught.
